Hat Day

 Friday, March 28

The fourth graders at Claymont collected donations to support cancer research.  Here are some pictures showing students from our class wearing their hats.  Some friends borrowed a hat from the creative play center for the day.

Even though we will not be in school on St. Patrick's Day, we did a few fun Irish related activities this week. The children watched a short movie about the origins of the holiday that also showed how an Irish family in America celebrates St. Patrick's Day.  The class loved watercolor painting rainbows and they look beautiful around our classroom door.  Today the were introduced to an activity I call sticker stories.  They turned out so cute!

There once was a sparkly kitten.  It's name was Precious. She was a leprechaun.  She loved to play on the swings with her friend the fuzzy Zoe.

I have a bed and I have 3 shamrocks.  I can make a rainbow.  I have a hat.  I have gold.

My kitty's name is Goldie.  Goldie is holding a 4 leaf clover.  She likes to dance to quiet Irish music.

The cat's name is Fluffy.  His favorite game is hide and seek.  His favorite food is mac and cheese.
